Alexa's 7th Birthday

Birthday girl in her Birthday dress!

Happy 7th Birthday Alexa! How quickly 7 years has flown by! It's hard to believe that this thin-as-a-rail girl came into the world weighing 9lbs. 11oz! Since her birthday fell on a Sunday this year, we celebrated Alexa's birthday(Nov.30) with a family party at our house-we ate her requested dinner of Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and corn (yes, Thanksgiving dinner again!) opened presents and, of course, ate this giant cupcake and ice cream. She had her "friend" birthday party (see slide show below) a few days later on Friday, Dec. 6. She had her heart set on having a Tinkerbell birthday complete with a Tinkerbell doll cake-so lucky me got to make 2 birthday cakes for her this year. My wonderful Grandma Smith, thankfully, came to assist with the Tinkerbell cake! Thanks again, Grandma-I couldn't have done it without you! For her party we went to the park, played games, and made Tinkerbell wands. We ended up with 14 girls (including Alexa). It was madness, but she had a great time! Thanks to my mom and Grandma for helping transport the girls to the park and for all your help at the party!

Happy Halloween

Yesterday was Halloween. What a great day. It started out with carving pumpkins Thursday night. Then dad made pumpkin pancakes for breakfast. The kids got to wear their costumes to school and walk in the annual costume parade. Trey was 'Dash', Alexa was 'Tinkerbell' (made by Grandma), Cierra was a 'Moster Bride' (made by Grandma), Brittany was a 'Witch' (made by Grandma) and a Room Mother for Alexa's class where they planned a big party, and Todd was 'The Phantom'. Trey was so excited that even though he was wore out from walking form house to house just couldn't get enough of Trick-or-Treating.

Yea Cierra, no more braces!!!

Cierra has been getting her teeth worked on now for just alittle over a year and today she got her braces off. She will need to wear a retainer all the time for a few months and then just go to wearing it at night. She is so excited to finally have those braces off.

Happy Birthday Trey

Last month we celebrated Trey's 3rd Birthday. To his great surprise and excitement he got a Lightning McQueen Power Wheels Car and a Lightning McQueen Birthday Cake. He loves to drive that car all over the place.
Trey just loves "Cars" and he has just about every "Cars" car they have every made. When ever he gets a chance he plays with all of his cars.
Part of the activities for his birthday we went to the new Washington City Rec. Center. They have a great indoor water area for the kids to swim around in. In a way it is better than the one St. George has. After swimming we went and got Trey his favorite meal for dinner, PIZZA!!! After eating and getting ready for bed, blowing out his candles on his cake and being sung "Happy Birthday" topped an exciting fun filled day for him. He is a sweet little boy, filled with adventure, and we are proud to have him part of our family.

Sun Set

One of our favorite sunsets on Oahu. This one is on the beach in Maili, which is located on the west side of the island.

Hawaii Trip

We had a great time in Hawaii. We first flew into Maui where we stayed only a short few hours hanging out in airport waiting to catch our flight into Hanalulu, Oahu. Once we arrived on Oahu it was raining. It only rained on us that first evening and the rest of the time the weather was great. The Trade Winds were blowing the entire time which kept the temperatures very nice, and the humidity relatively low. When we got to the house we stayed the first night we turned on the local news and there were reports that ten people had gotten bit by jelly fish that day from swimming in the waters of Hanauma Bay and that it was going to be closed indefinitely. We were a little nervous about that report because that high on our list of things to do. But when we finally made it over there on Friday everything seemed to be okay. We did not get bit by any jelly fish but Todd did get bit by what we think was an eel. He never did see what bit him and the life guards told him it could have been up to a dozen different things. It made four bit marks on his finger with lacerations to go with it. It sure did bleed a lot and even left a nice blood trail from the water to the life guard station for Brittany to follow.
We visited Stacy and the boys, minus Jarod, on Tuesday evening. She sure has her hands full, and has a cute family. We wish we could have spent more time with them, but with all that we had planned to do we couldn't find the time to do so.
